**1/10/10- "So this is the New Year?
...and I dont' feel any different."

Yes, I do like the Death Cab.

I've taken a bit of a break from the studio for awhile. Actually, it's still mostly in boxes in the middle of the room [after moving]. I'll get back to art'ing in February I'd guess. Got some other things going on that are taking my free time.

Hang in there we'll make some new stuff soon.

**12/6/09- last show of '09
My first solo showing in the city of San Francisco- that was the last of '09. It's up for another week as I write this. Nothing on the horizon just yet. I'd have to make some new stuff and to do that I have to get my studio set up again.

Meaning it was taken apart, ie. I'm moving. After 4 years in the same apartment, Dawn and I have decided to move. So everything in boxes and all that.

In the meantime, here are a few pics from Blush...

and then you come in, see?
**11/05/09 - SF show!
Hey guess what? Two weeks from today will be my first solo showing in the city of San Francisco! How awesome is that? yeah.

That would be Thursday, 11/19/09... 7pm - Midnight.

I'm considering it an extension of the work I was showing last month in Chicago. New stuff, and alot of stuff you've just never seen, see?

So it's at Blush Wine Bar in the Castro. Come out, have a glass of wine, or a whole bottle to yourself. You know how I do... I don't judge, I don't judge.

**10/11/09- Large Canvas
A sneak peek of something I was working out this week for placement on the streets...

It's painted on the dropcloth I've used for a few years in the studio- hence all the random marks on it.

Going on vacation over the next weekend, so no update.

.
**10/4/09- Resting and planning
Back in SF after an awesome trip to Chicago and a super-neat opening @ Atomic Sketch! Honestly, I've only done one small piece of art'ing at Sketch Tuesday and that's it. A whole week of no studio time? Pretty much... I did go in there and clean a bit as it looked like a bomb went off as I was prepping until the last minute to get ready for the show.

"So where are the pictures?" you ask. I haven't uploaded or edited any of them yet. Hopefully by the time I post next week I'll have some for ya.

In the meantime, here are a couple from the Frame Show @ Autobody Gallery. This show runs until the 10/24 in Alameda CA [you can find the details down below]

.
**7/19/09- Fancy camera...
Here's a little somethin' related to photography... which I normally do not even attempt. In this case, it's safe because it involved a dollar camera and paper cutting. Now thats my kind of photography.

So yeah, I started by buying a 35mm camera on eBay for a dollar. Oh Yeah. You know it's pretty fancy. It's got a little rectangular piece of plastic on top that folds out as your view-finder. niiiiiiice.

Then I cut a few paper creatures out of black paper and taped them inside the camera like this.

This is result number 1
and
creature number 2.

I'll be on vacation next weekend, so no update. yar.
